Montorso Vicentino, 11 July 2022 - C2Mac Group S.p.A. (hereafter “C2Mac” or the “Group”), a
portfolio company backed by Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR via Fondo Italiano Consolidamento
e Crescita – FICC, acquires Poclain Technicast, a foundry specializing in ductile iron castings for the
hydraulic sector, based in Sablé-sur-Sarthe (France).
With this operation, C2Mac takes the first step towards internationalization and increases the
supply capacity of ductile iron by over 7,000 tons per year. The company will take the name of
Grandry Technicast, guaranteeing the continuity of its identity on the market and re-proposing the
name and logo of Grandry, a French family that started the foundry activities back in 1848.
Acquired by Fondo Italiano in 2019, the Company marks with Poclain Technicast its seventh
acquisition in the last 3 years, and currently has 9 production plants, each with its own
specializations, employing over 850 people.
C2Mac includes, today, the following foundries, with an annual production capacity of 75,000 tons:
• Fonderie di Montorso (Montorso Vicentino, Italy): since 1962 it has been supplying high quality
gray iron castings.
• Fondmatic Hydraulic Casting (Crevalcore , Italy): Founded in 1974, Fondmatic means hydraulic
specialization.
• Fonderia Scaranello (Rovigo, Italy): specialized in gray, spheroidal and high alloyed iron castings
with the "shell molding" technique, one of the main suppliers of sealing rings.
• Perucchini Foundry (Omegna, Italy): founded 1948, specialized in the casting of spheroidal and
high-alloy cast iron with "shell molding" technology.
• Grandry Technicast (Sablé-sur-Sarthe, France): founded in 1848, specializing in ductile iron and
production of "cold box" cores.
The Group includes the following machining companies with an annual capacity of more than
300,000 hours of machining operations between milling and turning:
• Scaranello Precision Seals (Rovigo, Italy): specialized in machining, heat treatment, finishing,
lapping and assembly of sealing rings.
• Nuova Torneria Zanotti (Castel S.Pietro Terme - Bologna, Italy): specialized since 1966 in the
turning of high precision parts for the hydraulic sector.
• Fondmatic Hydraulic Machining (Crevalcore - Bologna and Rolo - Reggio Emilia, Italy): factories
dedicated to the mechanical machining of components for hydraulics.

possible by the support of Fondo Italiano d’Investimento . C2Mac embarks on the path of
internationalization, continuing its growth in the hydraulics sector. Technicast, thanks to the
excellent turn-around work carried out by Poclain who managed it for the last 7 years, represents
an undisputed excellence in the ductile iron sector. Our goal is to become the reference point for
industrial groups looking for a supplier with a broad technological portfolio and the ability to be
present in the proximity of their offices".

foundry was in financial difficulty, but Poclain needed to secure supplies from this historic and
strategic supplier. Following this acquisition, the Group has taken several steps to bring the
company, renamed Poclain Technicast, back into business. The Poclain Group is now proud to be
able to sell a healthy company to the C2Mac Group, historic supplier of Poclain, specialized in
engineering, foundry and machining of mechanical components, undisputed leader in the hydraulics
sector. The Poclain Group and the C2Mac Group will continue to collaborate with a proven
relationship between Supplier and Customer ".
“This is the first main international acquisition executed by a Fondo Italiano Consolidamento e
Crescita’s portfolio company," says Aldo Di Bernardo, Senior Partner of Fondo Italiano
d’Investimento. “C2Mac Group, majority owned by Fondo Italiano since February 2019, is following
a rapid growth path that places it among the main leaders in the sector of castings and high-
precision mechanical machining dedicated to the hydraulics sector. Thanks to significant structural
growth accompanied by targeted acquisitions, the Group's turnover has increased from € 65 million
in 2019 to an expectation of around € 200 million in 2022".
